JERSEY GODS on the front page of New Jersey's Star Ledger!

Launching JERSEY GODS at NYCC was a huge thrill for us. On Friday morning, the first day of the con, Amy Ellis Nutt, a charming reporter for the NJ Star Ledger, interviewed us both. On Saturday, the next morning, this lovely picture was on the front page of the paper. Why can't all conventions be like this?

JERSEY GODS is a new ongoing series from Image Comics!

You're a fun loving high maintenance girl that grew up in a New Jersey suburb. You live close enough to New York City to want the clothes and the cosmopolitan lifestyle, but you're not brave enough to move away from your over protective parents. Most of the achievers are gone, so the slick guys you generally date disappoint. The solid guys, the ones that stayed behind, fail to hold your interest very long so you wind up looking for a heart of gold where there is none.

What's a girl to do? If you're Zoe, you hook up with the first God of war that crash lands in town during a life or death struggle with an evil adversary. Then you move into a house just three houses down from your parents. But what happens when even an all powerful God can't exactly measure up to your elevated expectations?

This is the world of JERSEY GODS -- A new superhero book in which the hero, plagued by meddlesome in-laws, household chores and his fiancee's crazy social agenda, has very little free time left to save the galaxy.

Creator/Writer Glen Brunswick (Gray Area, Killing Girl) is paired with the grand artistry of dazzling Dan McDaid to tell the dramedic tale of mythic beings learning to survive the rolling hills, mini malls, and cul-de-sac's of South Jersey's suburbs.
